Last day we study the germination of seeds in polluting agents.
Water pollution means one or more substances have built up in water
to such an extent that they cause problems for animals or people.
To investigate that we make an expirience. To do it we took three substsnces : Na OH,NH3 and Na Cl , we took four erlenmeyers and :
IN THE FIRST: we put 100ml of Na cl
IN THE SECOND: we put 0.01 of Na cl and mixt this with ditilled water
IN THE THIRD: we put 0.001 of Na cl and mixt this with ditilled water
IN THE FOURTH: we put only ditilled water
And when we have the dissolutions we put it in one petri sheet for each dissolution. In every petri sheet we put 10 seeds. When we finish this we waited for the results.

WORKSHEET 8
Last day we make soap with reciclate oil. We mixt 20ml of oil, 10ml of water in one erlenmeyer. We took another erlenmeyer and mixt 4,5 g of Na OH and water. After this we mixt this two mixture. When you have the mixture put it detergent and soap dishwater. After we finish this we put it in a petri's sheet
We learned that we have to recycle the oil and we must go to the green point.
WE DON'T TROUGHT THE OIL IN THE WASH-BASIN!!!!!!!!!

MESURING THE WEATHER
Last day we mesured the atmospheric phenomenon with the weather. We took diffents instruments: thermometer to mesure the temperature, the anemometer to mesure the wind speed, the hygrometer for the porcentage of the humidity, the stopwatch to control the time that we have to mesure. After this we went to the roof of our school and we mesure this phenomenons, we went to the street in front of the school too. In the street we mesure the phenomenons two times: one with a hand up and the other next to the floor(hands down).We mesure in the roof and in the street because the phenomens are differnt.
THE RESULTSthe temperature are different because the tiles of the floor absorb the sun rays.

THINGS TO REDUCE OUR ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT
We can do a lot of things to reduce the pollution of the earth. We wrote this things in the picture of the footprint. Every time we have an impact if we intent to reduced this impact, the pollution are less.
IMPACTS:
Every time you turn on the light there is an impact
Every time that you usse a plastic bag, there is an impact
Every time that you switch off the water, there is an impact
Every time that you don't separe the brush for recicling, there in an impact
Every time that you don't use the public transports, there is an inpact.
All the things that we do, produce an impact, it is required to improve all our actions.
THINGS TO IMPROVE:
switch the lights when you go out
when you go to the supermarket use paper bags, and not use plastic bags
switch off the water if it is not necessary
select the rubbish for recicling
use the public transport

OUR ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT
WORKSHEET 9
Last day we drew our footprint and we did a list of the things that we do about the evironment.
Today we calculate the mesure of our footprint. Besides we enter in this web page :www.stanleyparkecology.ca/programs/activities/howbigft.php
that to mesure the space that we need. This mesure is calculated with a test.
After this we multiply the width and the lenght of our foot and devided it by the result of the test.

The mesure of the width of my footprint is 6 and my lenght is 22 so multiply this numbers and divided of the space (505 dam2 or 505000000 cm2).

CLAUDIA'S FOOTPRINT:
the mesure of the width of my footprint is 8'1 and my leght is 23'5 so multiply this numbers and divided of the space (415 dam2 or 415000000 cm2)

The last day we went to the streets: Casp,Gran Via and Pau Claris. We count the cars, buses, taxis, motorbikes, pedestrians and bicicles.
Our conclution are that this streets are more diffrrent Gran Via past more cars, buses and bicicles because is main street and cross the city. Pau Claris is a street that past more pedestrians and cars because this street drives to Barceloneta beach.

Last tuesday we went out of the school to mesure three streets arroud our school; Pau Claris, Gran Via and Casp street.
The widht of Pau Claris and Casp were very similar but in Pau Claris pass more cars. Gran Via is different from the other two streets becuase it is very wide and long, because Gran Via is a main street with a lot of traffic.
To get the measures, we measured our footstep and we multiply by the number of steps. So we learnt how to measure without a tape measure.
In this table there are the avarages of all our measures:
